Mutant Lizard

This is more of an experiment with a new way of colouring that showed me. Basically, one sets a photoshop layer to 'multiply', making colouring in lineart a billion times easier than having to use the paint bucket to fill it in.

The creature here is a mutant lizard from Lego's Dino Attack line. The backstory had dinosaurs coming right outta nowhere and attacking a generic city. It was implied that they weren't really dinosaurs, through the creature files on the website saying that they're "like the real thing", and also through the T-Rex having frickin' laser eyebeams and the Pteranodon shooting lightning bolts from its wings. As the line didn't really do well, I don't think we ever found out what was behind the dinosaurs and why they were attacking Genericsville, USA. It was a shame, really.

The mutant lizard was the basic troop type of the dinosaur army, having a range of powers from camoflage to poison spit. It's obviously supposed to be a raptor, only that name got taken by a larger dinosaur, so it became a mutant lizard. They were made in various colours for each set they were in. Mine is black with blue spots, which is the one shown here. It came in the smallest set, which was the only one I ever got. It's pretty neat, despite being a solid figure.
